Derek and Duder Entertainment

I suppose there’s a few things I could be called… flash animator, writer, poet, director, artist, philosopher, and maybe even go as far as to call me a composer or vocalist too.  People describe me as sophisticated, deranged, and calm. I’m sometimes called a hick or a hippy or both – I’ve always felt mostly like a hick and always have enjoyed that social label.  I grew up in a hick town and I love hick towns.  Rural places with clean air and good weed – far away from the crackheads, whores, cement, and all kinds of garbage of urban life. 

When we’re all stripped naked, broke, and bare though we’re all just apes that learned to walk on our hind legs and have a big enough brain to communicate and fuck around with the world around us I see it though.

I try to make everyday a productive day – get something done – anything at all really – and not even get it done much – just get a little something done if I can do a little something.  I have a horrible work ethic and my fuel is always changing and always running low it feels.

Since I had a cartoon series in the works I figured I’d need to make some sort of internet HQ for it – a place to showcase info, merchandise, exclusives, and anything I can think of.  The name came quick and rolls of the tong nicely I still feel. Duder Entertainment – since the entire goal behind the series was to make people laugh and give people another ridiculous internet cartoon to watch and enjoy – so broken down the main part of the goal was to entertain, so Duder Entertainment works more then great – it works perfectly.  I’m happy making duder shorts, games, other toons, and simply screwing around – experience teaches me lots and really has helped improve and shape the Duders into not just another ridiculous internet cartoon to watch but, a cartoon with its own special soul you can get into to and laugh at.  I still have a fuck-ton of shit to learn though – theirs always more to learn about animatin’ I found out.

DuderEntertainment.com turned out to be really nice.  I can dump thoughts, poems, links, pics, vids, rants, and anything I bloody want here. People who are interested or lured by the odd duder-spirit come and check junk out and hopefully get a laugh or maybe even some knowledge.

When people come here, read my insanity, watch my passion, play my imagination, listen to my strange sound, and experience it all – I hope they enjoy it and get any message I’m trying to send. Sure – it’s about the laughs but, the laughs are about peace.  Whether ya had a shit day and need a laugh to cheer ya up, had a fine day and are just screwin’ around, or just bumped into it all by chance… fucking laugh and enjoy it. Laughing is good, being entertained is good, entertainment is good, entertainment is relaxing and peaceful, and thus entertainment is a great way to promote peace – peace in life and peace of mind.  I try my best to make the funny and make entertainment. It’s really up to the people watching, playing, or listenin’ to actually enjoy it or be entertained though.

Duder Entertainment – makin’ laughs and kickin’ ass… I’m more then sure I’ve made laughs and have the material out their for laughs to continue to be created. I’m also pretty sure the future has a billion times more laughs on its way.  As for the kickin’ ass bit – I’m happy being able to have my work shown uncensored and free online with the only profit going to me and not in the fat greedy hands of my government.

It’s a pretty hippy-ish indie-company when ya think ‘bout it.  Entertain people for the sake of peace, promote peace, bitch about freeing marijuana, and occasionally bitch about typically government bulshit.  Where do the profits go? Exactly where you’d expect. Bills, food, pot, video games, random technology, staff dinners at cheap restaurants, and buying our own merchandise for friends and fans sometime too.

So what cause, point, habit, or whatever it is are you contributing to by reading, watching, or whatever crap your doing which is involving Duder Entertainment at the time?  Well other then basically putting more food in my diet, helping me with my bills, and getting my friends and I hot boxed… all the ad views from the site and animations, award money, donations, or profit from merchandise sales… they all not only help keep Duder E. and all it holds alive, but they help it grow along with its message and content. So if ya find something neat or hopefully entertaining here – thanks. Now if you’d like to go out of your way and send a link or email or something spreadin’ Duder E. around that would be much appreciated. I love creating things and I love having my creations seen by as many people as possible.

Even if I terribly fail to the point of fail beyond belief and I stop animating, composing, or writing – I can always have this as an internet relic for anyone to stumble upon and laugh at. As long as I love creating things I’ll have this place to stick ‘em.
